Hi Denise and David, I just pulled out some CDs at work and put yours on. It is always fantastic, picks me up and keeps me going! I was home on maternity leave from Aquila for almost 18 months. They laid me off before I made it back from maternity leave so it took me a bit to get back on the job. I'm working at a small technology firm now. I sure miss being at home with Eva though. Mom and Dad are in heaven with their grandbaby (who is not much of a baby anymore), and she sure loves them. She visits with them for sleepovers at the ranch every once in awhile and has a fantastic time! Hope everything is great with you two and the band. I'd love to know if you are playing in Calgary or the south anywhere sometime so I can take Jaydel (my husband) to see you in action. Best wishes, Kim Page Gluckie (Merv & Gail's oldest baby) Janette, Tulsa janette_bailey@credit911.org Neat webpage, I like the layout! Eileen Ryan Olympia, WA calloo@comcast.net Thank you for your music. Your stuff is on the Replay Pile with Neal Hellman and John Cunningham. John Stiles Victoria jwstiles@shaw.ca I have three of your CD's and love each. I play mandolin and Octave mandola. I look forward to your next CD.
Kathy Steele, Bertram, TX rjohns@tstar.net Hello! We greatly enjoyed Cowboy Celtic at the Cowboy Songs in Cody. We were invited by some friends in Cody to join them for the weekend. We drove from Austin, Texas (a two and a half day drive). Needless to say we were not disappointed, all of the entertainment was great. Would love to see you in Texas. We enjoyed your CD on the way home, hope to get more!!! A New Fan, Kathy and Charles Steele John Wilson, Brampton wilsonvj@rogers.com Just enjoying "Travel the Isles" cassette one more time. Picked it up in 1986 on a drive up through the Fraser Canyon where I meet Evans Palmer playing at Hells Gate and had a thrilling Helicopter ride through the mountains. Put his name into google and came to your Web site. The music sounds great after all these years. Wondering if he made any CD's or is still in the music bizz? Best Wishes John
jflitner@tctwest.net Jamie and Tim Flitner Diamond Tail Ranch (Greybull WY) Hi! We visited with you after your Saturday evening show in Cody Wy (4/3). We discussed the Johnson County Cattle War, etc., and then we purchased two CDs. We have looked everywhere and fear we walked off and left them after leaving your our check! So...If you recall that happening and said to yourselves..."those two stupid people just paid us and left their CDs here on the table," that was us! We'd love it if you could send them to us--COD of course. But if not, we'll just re-order at some point. We thoroughly enjoyed your show. We look forward to hearing you again soon! Take care- Jamie Moore Flitner swearingens_in_cody@yahoo.com Susanne Swearingen Cody Wyoming Hi, folks...saw you at Range Ballads in Cody this weekend and VERY much enjoyed your music...thanks for joining us, and I hope to own all of your music soon.... toulousmoose@fea.net Monique Rea San Juan Capistrano Denise and David and Keri, Scott and Joe, Charles and I cannot get enough of your music. Your talents are extraordinary. WE look so forward to seeing you each year. From your schedule it looks like you might be at the Gene Autry? Your visit to Buffalo Bill Museum must have been a success. That is such an incredible museum. It would be fun to see you at one of your other venues. Your faces glow and reflect the inner beauty that you all possess. Of course Denise and Keri you have an additional outward beauty. Hope to see you in August.......We will have returned from Ireland by then. Thank you for being the talented people you are, Monique and Charles kitangus@hotmail.com Gareth Hurwood Sidney BC Hello again Mr. Wilkie sir.

You continue to inspire and encourage. Lovely
arrangements. Normally would wax verbose over your work and what it means to me
professionally, musically, personally, but I re-read my last note to you, and I
hope you understand somewhat already. You were kind enough to respond then
-thank you for taking the time.
Our band is entering its sixth season at Butchart Gardens this summer, and it being their centennary year, they're looking for a variety of acts throught July and August. A beautiful place to play into the sunset. I am sure I can help get you there if you and your colleagues are so inclined - self-interest primarily - I'd get to hear and see you! I read somewhere that you hail from Victoria. Is there a connection? Might you play here sometime? I hope to meet you one day. Our band continues to expand its horizons. My wife takes us in a moody folk-rock direction while I keep bringing us back to some kind of old-time/Celtic melange!! We have added a pro kit-drummer to our fiddle, mando/whistle, guitar, bass line-up, and he also bring in the djembe to the odd slip-jig which works! I'd love to send you some of our stuff. Please send along an address if you're at all inclined - also please do respond one way or another about Butchart's - it'd be great to have you there. Delighted in particular to hear your take on Tarwathie - we fired that up just a year ago, and it immediately went blue-grassy! The Grey Funnel Line is a nice sea-song (about hating the Royal Navy!) that immediatley lent itself to the mando and the old-time beat. I could go on - my other job in the band is to go on!! but I'm sure I'll only frighten you off!! Your music is a joy to me - please keep up the good work. Canadians, Celts, and Cowboys should be proud. Look forward to hearing from you. Gareth Hurwood jroush@austin.rr.com Jan Roush Austin, TX Hi guys! We sure enjoyed your performance at Arvada, especially the late night/early morning jam at the 5 star American! Too bad that the whistle wasn't working, but enjoyed Joe and Keri's performance. Was trying to find out how to buy Scott's CD, but I can't find a listing. Please advise! Let us know when you are going to make it down to Texas, and remember Austin is the live music capital of the world! North by Northwest is a big music festival down here, and I know you would get thousands of new fans if you made it down for that! Best of luck, and hope to see you again soon! Grandma and Grandpa Ebert send their best! Jan crystal_lori@yahoo.com Lori Calgary - for now :-) I only know Scott and Joe and am yet to hear the entire ensemble, but judging by their moving sound and obvious talent I can only imagine how brilliant Cowboy Celtic's performances must be. jeanchenier@hotmail.com Jean Chénier Québec City Wow ! I have already learned your version of « Southern melodies » because of the broadcasting of your performance in Montmagny last year, at the « Carrefour mondial de l'accordéon ». I listened to your music by the Radio-Canada's network in the program named : « Des musiques en mémoire » in last February. Keep it that way and on which label could I buy some of your creations ? Thanks.

Cowboy Celtic was a great addition to the celtic colours festival. and PS, Scott Ring with his shirt off is quite the sight.... amazing tatoo you got there Scotty b'ye!!!! sheila.e.g@shaw.ca Sheila Guyett Calgary,AB Could I possibly enjoy a "2nd time" evening of entertainment with Cowboy Celtic, more than I enjoyed the first time?? Not unless you rip the shirt of Scott Ring's back and have him play the whistle topless. Now there's something I'd pay to see. All kidding aside, folks, once again you showed us why the Flare'n Derrick was filled to capacity on Oct 19th, Honest to God, great, down home entertainment. Fine musicians, lovely voices, great humor, combine to make a wonderful evening that is well worth the price of admission, and always seems to be over far too soon. Doris Daley as emcee, Graham Tait's fantastic accordion playing, the young Irish dancers, the highland dancer and the bagpipes, were a marvelous bonus. "Och aye, I'm a fan, and I cannae wait 'til the next ceilidh. Love your music, combines all my traditions and makes beautiful music to boot! Love to see you come to my favorite event, the Lone Pine film Festival. What do you think? Thanks for many hours of damn good music. erschaj@gvsu.edu Joseph Verschaeve Allendale, Michigan Greetings, I just wanted to express my deep appreciation for your masterful music and all that accompanies it. In the liners of the CD's I have found you to be masterful in telling the story of a history that has been hidden from me until now. Your efforts reflect a very disciplined ethnomusicology...and so...I am wondering if there is a French-Canadian-Celtic connection that might be similar to the Celtic-French connection in Brittany? Perhaps in a future album I shall find out. Nevertheless, you have hooked me as a devoted fan! Am enjoying the CD's - Thanks for a wonderful December evening. covenanter1638@yahoo.com Todd Wilkinson Springfield, Missouri Just wanted to write and tell you how much I enjoyed "Cowboy Celtic" and "Cowboy Ceilidh", and I'm looking forward to your newest album. My family is overwhelmingly Scottish in heritage, my father was born in Prescott, Arizona, and his uncle was a cowboy from Weed, New Mexico, so I can certainly relate to your mix of cowboy and celtic music. Speaking of Prescott, the story of one of her native sons, William O. "Buckey" O'Neil, the Rough Rider killed at San Juan Hill in the Spanish-American War would make a great song! I've recommended your albums to many of fellow Scottish-Americans in our local Scottish & Celtic Societies. wliddle@kootenay.com Wendy Liddle Creston, BC, Canada Your music makes my soul dance! Thanks for all the wonderful songs that I play over and over again. If a person doesn't love your music, they're just not alive. Lisa briansikstrom@home.com Brian Sikstrom Victoria I chanced upon your "Drovers Road" cd at Hot Wax in Calgary. I wasn't sure what to make of "cowboy celtic". I love folk music but I am not keen on the twangy Country and Western. I am delighted to tell you how much I have enjoyed this cd! The blend is delightful and the connections between two forms of music amazing. The liner notes are substantive, informative and interesting, too. Thank you for making this cd. I now see you have made two previously, I am looking forward to purchasing and enjoying them! Cheers! cmq@earthlink.net Tom Quinn Lakewood, CO Thanks for your great performances at the Colorado Irish Festival! You made this the best festival we've had yet. The new CD is wonderful also. I'm glad to see a group that helps us remember our past in such fine musical form. Looking forward to your return to Colorado when it fits into your busy schedule. Oh, and I'm sorry, but without permission, I retold the story of Custer's last words, "These Souixs are killing me." to several folks in the office this morning. Your website is very well done - I enjoyed it. I am looking forward to checking out your music and hearing more about you in the future!! I wish you well in all your endeavours. Joan - Ontario Canada kitangus@hotmail.com Gareth Hurwood Sidney-by-the-Sea, BC All of your pages are very attractive - nice job! your recordings and musical argument for the clear connection between the celt and the cowboy are moving, enlightening and delightful. You have inspired me to take up the mandolin in my professional musical pursuits, and no longer hesitate to go bluegrass, cowboy or western with the good old Irish and Scottish songs and tunes. i call my blend of styles West Coast Celtic, but I am proud to mention your name when I introduce a mandolin number - I feel that indeed the mandolin is the perfect cross-over instrument for the Celtic Cowboy. Keep up the great work, and thank-you. epalmer@apexmail.com Evans Palmer Balladeer/Piper Chilliwack BC Canada Was nice to see a quality website - continued success to all of you. Sincerely, Evans Palmer lmoll@collegevilleadv.com Leslie Moll Collegeville PA David, did you attend Montana State University in the mid 1970's? I had a friend named David Wilkie and he was one of the coolest people I've ever met! In your picture you look a lot like him, but I can't tell for certain. paulAcowboyjoe@aol.com COWBOY JOE Manhattan Love Your Music. Would you ever consider recording my world famous radio theme song, Ragtime Cowboy Joe? Cheers, Cowboy Joe. http://www.cowboyjoesradioranch.com harmonyhounds@icqmail.com Nora & Rick Maidman Dalemead AB Canada We really enjoyed the concert last night at the Bow Valley Music Club. We have been fans for sometime. I have enjoyed your original Cowboy Celtic for over the last year and was extremely pleased to see that you have another CD out. Having Irish Heritage on my Mothers side (McBride) with her ancestors settling from Dublin into Texas and Oklahoma in the 1840's and being ranchers and ginners, gives me great satisfaction to see your acknowledgement of our Irish ancestors contribution to the Cowboy way of life and pioneering spirit in that particular part of the United States. bsuerig@aol.comBonnie Suerig Springdale UT works in MMM merch booth!
I heard Cowboy Celtic at Westfest99 and knew in a moment I had found something great. I have always liked cowboy music and Irish/Celtic music and I was amazed somebody came up with the great idea of putting the 2 together. My daughter and I are really looking forward to seeing you at Westfest 2000 and hope you will add more Colorado concerts in the future. Thanks. Murray, Fort Frances.
